Linklaters advises TricorBraun, a global packaging leader, on the acquisition of the Germany-based Euroglas Verpackungsgesellschaft mbH (Euroglas) and the Austria-based Glaspack Verpackungshandelsgesellschaft m.b.H. (Glaspack). The seller is IGM Holding GmbH. These acquisitions expand TricorBraun’s packaging footprint in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland).
Euroglas is one of Europe’s leading suppliers of high-quality glass packaging. The company provides stock and custom packaging for the food, beverage, and spirits sectors. Glaspack provides stock and custom packaging for the wine, beer, and food sectors and is a leading supplier of wine packaging for the Austrian market.
The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2025, subject to customary regulatory approvals.
TricorBraun, headquartered in St. Louis (Missouri, USA), employs more than 2,200 people at over 100 locations in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Australia.
TricorBraun once again relied on the expertise of Linklaters for its two acquisitions in Germany and Austria. The team led by Dr Timo Engelhardt and Dr Ruprecht von Maltzahn most recently advised TricorBraun in late 2023 on the acquisition of glass packaging provider Glassland and the associated expansion of its presence in the German market.
