Linklaters has advised Carmignac on the structuring and launch of a semi-liquid, open-ended private equity fund ELTIF Evergreen. The fund is structured as a European Long-Term Investment Fund (ELTIF), making it accessible to a wide range of investors, including individuals.
The fund launched on March 31 and has a global and diversified approach, with an initial focus on Europe. It will have a substantial allocation to the secondary private equity market, offering benefits in terms of diversification, visibility on underlying assets, and efficient liquidity management.
Silke Bernard, Partner at Linklaters, commented:
“We are pleased to have advised Carmignac on the launch of this strategic fund. The Carmignac ELTIF Evergreen is structured as a semi-liquid, open-ended evergreen fund, offering greater flexibility than traditional private equity vehicles and widening access to private equity for a broader range of investors. This launch underscores Luxembourg’s position as a leading hub for pioneering investment solutions.”
Leveraging its fund formation and regulatory platform, Linklaters advised Carmignac on the structuring, implementation and investor access features of the ELTIF.
The Linklaters Investment Funds team in Luxembourg was led by Silke Bernard (Partner) and supported by Victor Louvet (Counsel) and Jimy Benchahda Kontzler (Managing Associate).
