Linklaters has advised life sciences group Sartorius on the successful placement of a €500m bond. The bond, which was targeted at institutional investors, was issued via the Dutch subsidiary Sartorius Finance B.V. It has a maturity of five years and carries a coupon of 3.75% per annum. The net proceeds from the issuance were used in particular for the early repayment of a €650 million bond through the exercise of a make-whole call option. Linklaters advised both on the original issue of the bond and in connection with the early redemption.
The Linklaters team was led by Alexander Schlee and Martin Rojahn (Partners, Capital Markets, Frankfurt). Other team members included Catrin Retzmann (Managing Associate) and Tabea Meißner (Associate, both Capital Markets, Frankfurt), as well as Hugo van der Molen (Counsel, Capital Markets), Joost Rompen (Counsel, Tax) and Xu Wang (Managing Associate, Capital Markets, all Amsterdam).
