ACCRALAW Partner Louie John D. Lood and Senior Associate Shiela Vae A. Hoylar-Gascon lectured on labor law updates last 24 November 2023 at the People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) Cebu Chapter 6th General Membership Meeting. It was held at the Golden Prince Hotel in Cebu City. PMAP members consist of human resource managers and HR practitioners.
Mr. Lood’s lecture was entitled “Mental Health-Related Terminations in the Workplace: How to Manage”. He discussed the delicate yet important matter of dealing with mental health issues of employees.
Ms. Hoylar-Gascon covered the broader topic on “Updates on Labor Law and Jurisprudence”.
An engaging open forum followed after the lectures.
