Children in conflict with the law (CICL), along with their families and barangay officials, received free legal education and consultations at Bahay Pag-asa in Dasmariñas, Cavite through Dulog Legal—DivinaLaw’s legal aid clinic and corporate social responsibility initiative.
The program opened with DivinaLaw Associate Atty. Joseph Lorenz A. Asuncion delivering a seminar titled Bata! Bata! May Pag-asa Ka Pa: Understanding Children in Conflict with the Law (CICL) and their Rights, Remedies, and Legal Protections. The talk aimed to deepen understanding of the legal rights and protections afforded to CICLs, and to highlight the importance of reintegration and support from the community.
After the session, DivinaLaw lawyers conducted one-on-one legal consultations with participants. They were joined by lawyers from the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) Cavite Chapter, who helped address jurisdiction-specific concerns raised by the attendees. In addition to legal assistance, DivinaLaw also distributed care packages containing canned goods and essential toiletries.
This event marks the tenth Dulog Legal clinic since the program began in 2022. It reflects DivinaLaw’s continued commitment to extending accessible legal services to underserved sectors through meaningful engagement and partnership with local communities.
