The Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) is pleased to announce the opening of its Delhi Liaison Office, SIAC’s seventh overseas office and third representative office in India.
The opening of the Delhi office reflects SIAC’s strong and sustained engagement with Indian users, who have consistently ranked among SIAC’s top foreign users for many years. This continued growth underscores both the increasing sophistication of Indian cross-border commerce and SIAC’s reputation as a neutral, efficient, and trusted forum for international dispute resolution.
The Delhi office marks an important milestone in SIAC’s global expansion and will further strengthen SIAC’s presence in India. Together with SIAC’s Mumbai and GIFT City offices, it will deepen engagement with India’s legal and business communities through outreach initiatives, training programmes, seminars, and collaboration with arbitration practitioners, in-house counsel, and institutional partners.
The office also reinforces SIAC’s commitment to building a strong global network to better serve users across key jurisdictions. SIAC’s overseas offices now include offices in India (Mumbai and GIFT City), South Korea, China (Shanghai and Beijing), and the United States.
A launch ceremony for the Delhi office was held in Delhi on 25 July 2026, as part of the SIAC Annual India Conference 2026 – Delhi, and was graced by Hon’ble Mr Justice Surya Kant, Chief Justice of India, Mr Edwin Tong SC, Minister for Law and Second Minister for Home Affairs of Singapore, Mr Arjun Ram Meghwal, Minister of State (I/C) for Law & Justice and Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, Government of India, Hon’ble Mr Justice Tejas Karia, Judge, High Court of Delhi, and Mr R. Venkataramani, Attorney General for India & Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India.
The Delhi office will be led by Ms Shwetha Bidhuri, Director & Head (South Asia), SIAC, and supported by Ms Devna Arora, Deputy Head (South Asia), SIAC, and Ms Steffi Mary Punnose, Strategy & Development Manager (South Asia), SIAC.
