SSEK Law Firm partner Stephen Igor Warokka recently took part in an American Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia (AmCham Indonesia) discussion with Vice Minister for Immigration and Corrections Silmy Karim.
Stephen, who is the head of the firm’s corporate immigration practice and a supervising partner of its labor and employment practice, as well as a member of the AmCham Indonesia Board of Governors, contributed to a constructive exchange on developments and ongoing challenges in Indonesia’s immigration landscape.
Vice Minister Silmy outlined the government’s continued efforts to strengthen policies for foreign professionals, enhance immigration services through digital innovation and foster a more supportive environment for foreign investment.
Participants from AmCham Indonesia raised a range of important topics, including visa classification clarity and law enforcement practices, which were addressed by the Vice Minister and his team.
AmCham Indonesia expressed its appreciation to Vice Minister Silmy and the Directorate General of Immigration for their support in facilitating the dialogue.
