International law firm Bird & Bird has further expanded its London Corporate practice with the arrival of partner Jane Brassington.
Jane focuses on private mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and investments for clients with a particular focus on corporate real estate transactions and transactions in the energy and utilities and tech and comms sectors.
Jane will work closely and collaborate with a number of different teams across Bird & Bird, particularly our real estate, construction and energy teams.
In particular, with significant experience on battery storage and wider energy projects both in the UK and internationally, Jane will utilise her expertise to further grow Bird & Bird’s corporate energy team, which was recognised last year by Clean Energy Pipeline as the number one firm globally for renewable energy corporate transactions by volume.
Matt Bonass, head of the London Corporate practice and co-head of the international Corporate practice at Bird & Bird said: “Jane is a key part of our growth strategy for our international corporate group and her hire follows other recent strategic hires in London such as Jee Kim and Michael Dawes and the promotion to partner of Adam Meisels. She brings a wealth of experience with her in both real estate and energy transactions, and will be a great asset to our team both in the UK and internationally.”
Alberto Salvadè, co-head of the international Corporate practice at Bird & Bird commented: “Jane’s knowledge of a number of key markets give us the opportunity to leverage multiple streams of expertise to assist our clients when they need us most.”
Jane added: “I’m thrilled to join the Corporate team at Bird & Bird as a partner and to work alongside colleagues across the business to support clients both in the UK and internationally.”
