Leading commercial law firm Hill Dickinson has advised the shareholders of whyaye ltd, a UK-based consulting services provider for the ServiceNow platform, on the sale of whyaye to global consultancy, EY.
Founded in 2019, whyaye is a Newcastle-based consulting services provider, with over 100 employees across the UK. ServiceNow is a market-leading digital platform that combines diverse business data and processes into a consolidated, integrated and automated services management solution.
The acquisition, which will now be known as EY whyaye, will support the growth of EY Technology Consulting Services by expanding capacity, capabilities and market presence around the ServiceNow technology platform. Maureen Robson-Norman, whyaye CEO, joins Ernst & Young LLP as a partner.
James Paton-Philip, partner in Hill Dickinson’s Corporate team, led on the transaction. He was assisted by Corporate colleagues including senior associate Amy Grosvenor, associate Cyprien Berlan and paralegal Rayona Basu, with support from tax partner David Klass and others in Hill Dickinson’s wider Business Services Group, including legal director Will Steed and senior associate Jordan Clarke.
Maureen Robson-Norman, CEO of whyaye, said:
“This is an important milestone for whyaye and we’re excited to be part of the EY organisation. ServiceNow is an incredibly powerful platform which can help bring significant efficiencies to a business when used to its full potential. We’re looking forward to working collaboratively with EY teams to accelerate our growth and work with clients on their transformation journeys.”
James Paton-Philip added:
“We were delighted to advise on this transaction and to assist the business in unlocking the next stage of its transformation. Whyaye has grown rapidly in the UK since it was founded just under four years ago and, by joining EY, is now able to extend its capabilities via the organisation’s established global network. It was a pleasure to work with the whyaye team and we wish them all the very best for this next step of their exciting journey.”
