Commercial law firm Hill Dickinson has advised Graystons Solicitors – a Chester-based firm specialising in medical negligence – on the sale of the company to an employee ownership trust. The trust was set up as part of the transaction to transfer beneficial ownership of the firm from its experienced leader, Julie Grayston, to its employees.
The employee ownership trust offers a means of providing employee and independent representation on the board and ensures that Graystons Solicitors will be run with its employees’ interests at heart, furthering its collegiate culture.
Graystons Solicitors was established in 2000 and provides a dedicated and personal service to victims of medical negligence. The firm comprises a friendly and accessible team, led by Julie Grayston. Julie Grayston has over 30 years of experience as a lawyer specialising in claims involving complex injuries caused by accidents as a result of medical negligence.
Corporate partner and head of Hill Dickinson’s Liverpool office Matt Noon led on the transaction, with support from legal director Phil Wallbank.
