Commercial law firm Hill Dickinson has advised the shareholders of luxury biscuit and baked goods supplier Arden Fine Foods on acquisition of the business by its management team.
Coventry-based Arden’s, which has seen its turnover double to £40 million in recent years, works with international food manufacturers in developing a range of sweet and savoury biscuits and other seasonal products. The business supplies multiple, major UK retailers, working across its own brand, supplier brands and private label product channels.
The shareholders of Arden’s retain a significant financial interest in the business, with the management buyout enabling further investment, continued growth and development of the business.
Corporate legal director Matt Smith and associate Alexandra Bloomer, based in Hill Dickinson’s Birmingham office, supported the vendors in the transaction.
Commenting on the buyout, Matt Smith said: “We were delighted to advise the shareholders of Arden Fine Foods on this significant milestone. The management buyout is a testament to the strength of the business, and we look forward to seeing Arden’s continue its growth.”
Helen Young, managing director of Arden added: “My team and I are delighted to have completed this transaction, and we look forward to working alongside the incoming management team who bring renewed energy and fresh ideas to the table. We continue to see great opportunities for growth that we intend to capitalise on over the coming years.”
