Linklaters has advised global asset managers Macquarie Asset Management on the sale of its remaining 10% interest in the East Anglia One offshore wind farm (EA1) to the energy supplier Octopus Energy.
EA1 is among the world’s largest operational wind farms and is capable of supplying 700,000 homes annually with green energy. It has a capacity of 714MW through its 102 turbines.
Linklaters’ involvement with the asset is longstanding, having previously advised Macquarie Asset Management on its acquisition of a 40% stake in EA1 from Iberdrola owned Scottish Power Renewables in 2019.
