With 600 MW for electricity and 957 GCal/h for heat, the project is set to revolutionise the energy landscape in Almaty. The plant will rise at the existing site of Almaty combined heat plant 2 (CHP-2), utilising all existing grid and heating pipeline infrastructure for maximum efficiency. But that’s not all – our focus on minimising environmental impact is a key highlight of the Modernisation of Almaty TPP-2.
