Global Investigations Review (GIR) named Crowell & Moring partner Anand Sithian to its 2024 “40 Under 40” list. GIR’s list, now in its fourth edition, “shines a spotlight on people from around the world who have gone above and beyond in their work, including those who don’t always receive the same level of recognition as their more established peers, but are equally deserving of it.”
Sithian is a member of Crowell’s Financial Services, International Trade, and White Collar and Regulatory Enforcement groups, where he advises U.S. and foreign clients on a variety of regulatory, compliance, and government investigations relating to anti-money laundering, the Bank Secrecy Act, U.S. economic sanctions, and related matters. He routinely counsels clients on the novel application of these laws and regulations involving financial institutions, technology companies, FinTech platforms, and digital assets participants. A former federal prosecutor, Sithian guides individuals and companies through complex white-collar matters, including grand jury and regulatory investigations, enforcement proceedings, and internal investigations.
“Anand is a triple threat with expertise in criminal investigations, regulatory enforcement investigations and complex civil litigation, making him a key member of Crowell’s GIR 100-ranked white-collar and regulatory enforcement group,” said Daniel Zelenko, chair of Crowell’s White Collar and Regulatory Enforcement Group, as part of Sithian’s nomination. “His unique background as a federal prosecutor, mixed with substantial experience as a civil litigator on high-stakes matters for financial institutions, allows him to see the entire picture and advise clients regarding all of their potential exposure.”
