The Law Firm of the Year award recognizes Linklaters for its outstanding work providing market-leading counsel and advice on cross-border M&A, financing, and restructuring work; and highlights the firm’s differentiators including technical excellence, sector expertise, innovation and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
The Cross-Border Restructuring Deal of the Year Award ($500MM-$1B) recognizes the firm’s advisory work, led by New York Restructuring & Insolvency Partner Christopher Hunker, in connection with the Chapter 11 restructuring of Vewd Software AS.
Linklaters is also recognized with the Consumer Staples Deal of the Year award for its work in advising Bioceres Crop Solutions Corp. in connection to its merger with Marrone Bio Innovations, Inc., marking the company’s first M&A transaction following its public offering through a de-SPAC transaction in 2019. The deal team supporting this transaction was led by partners Matthew Poulter and Pierre-Emmanuel Perais.
The gala also celebrated Linklaters Investment Counsel Mike Dankis and Energy & Infrastructure Counsel Will Kim, who received The M&A Advisors Emerging Leaders awards earlier this year.
The Annual International M&A Awards recipients are determined by an independent judging panel in which nominations for over 250 individual companies across the world are evaluated, representing deals valued from $10 million to multi-billion-dollar deals. The M&A Advisor, now in its 25th year, was founded to offer insights and intelligence on mergers and acquisitions and today is recognized as the world’s premier leadership organization for mergers & acquisitions, restructuring, and corporate finance professionals.
This marks one of several major industry recognitions for Linklaters’ U.S. practice thus far in 2023. The practice also received, IJ Global’s North American Power Deal of the Year, LatinFinance’s Sovereign ESG Deal of the Year, Latin Lawyer’s Corporate Finance: ESG Deal of the Year, The Deal’s Top Women in Dealmaking, and numerous high rankings in Chambers USA and the Legal 500 U.S.
