Litigation counsel Mary Grinman has been named to Law360’s list of Rising Stars, recognizing “top litigators and dealmakers” under 40 “practicing at a level usually seen from veteran attorneys.” A Law360 profile described how Ms. Grinman has distinguished herself through her innovative work in class action lawsuits involving the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA).
Ms. Grinman said she is drawn to the “people-focused” nature of ERISA litigation; it allows her to connect with others as she gathers information on how a company managed its benefits plan over time. “The crux of the issue is, what did the employer do to monitor the strength of its retirement plan offering for its employees? And so that’s a great feature of ERISA litigation because it really lets you tell a story,” Ms. Grinman explained.
