The Daily Journal has named Crowell & Moring’s Sima Namiri-Kalantari to its “Top Forty Under 40 2023” list. The list recognizes prominent lawyers in California under the age of 40.
Namiri-Kalantari is a partner in Crowell’s Los Angeles office and is a member of the firm’s Antitrust and Competition Group. She is a complex commercial litigator, focusing on antitrust and unfair competition law. Her primary practice includes defending clients in civil antitrust litigation as well as representing Fortune 500 companies as plaintiffs in recovery actions when they have been victims of price-fixing cartels.
In profiling her, The Daily Journal noted Namiri-Kalantari’s work as part of a team that won a recent defense verdict for a company accused of monopolizing the market for sheet wave surfing machines, as well as her pro bono work representing a former Afghani judge and women’s rights advocate now seeking asylum in the U.S.
Namiri-Kalantari is active in several professional organizations, including the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles, the Association of Business Trial Lawyers, the Federal Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
