The Hispanic National Bar Association named Crowell & Moring associate Amber Gonzales to its list of “Top Lawyers Under 40.” The list recognizes lawyers who have demonstrated professional excellence, integrity, leadership, commitment to the Hispanic community, and dedication to improving the legal profession. Recipients will be honored on Thursday, March 21st at an awards reception at the Chihuly Garden Glass venue in Seattle, Wash.
Gonzales is a litigator in Crowell’s Denver office. She has an extensive background in commercial litigation, compliance, and regulatory matters, and has advised clients ranging from individuals to Fortune 100 companies. Gonzales has experience in federal and state courts in matters involving class actions, contracts, false advertising and unfair competition, trade secrets, torts, healthcare recovery, and complex commercial litigation. She also has experience representing clients in employment disputes, including enforcing non-solicitation and non-compete agreements.
Outside of Crowell, Gonzales serves as the President of the Colorado Hispanic Bar Association (CHBA) and has served for over eight years on the CHBA Executive Committee. In her role as president and on the executive committee, Gonzales has led the CHBA to the next level in the community by raising the CHBA profile and voice among local, state, and national stakeholders. She is also a long-time mentor in Law School Yes We Can, a law school pipeline program that targets high-achieving college freshmen from diverse backgrounds and mentors and trains them with the ultimate goal of positioning them to be competitive law school applicants and changing the face of the legal profession in Colorado.
