The Los Angeles Business Journal has named Crowell & Moring partner Valerie M. Goo to its list of Top 100 Lawyers 2024. The list recognizes “Los Angeles’ top 100 lawyers for their legal achievements, community involvement and impacts on the profession.” Goo was selected based on her “exceptional legal skill and achievements across the full spectrum of responsibility, exemplary leadership and contributions to the Los Angeles community at large.”
Goo, managing partner of the firm’s Los Angeles office, has more than two decades of experience as a trial lawyer. She has tried numerous cases in federal and state courts across the country in the areas of complex commercial litigation, trademark infringement, unfair competition, trade secrets, false advertising, and consumer class action. Goo routinely litigates cases for technology companies, including disputes over development and supply agreements.
The LABJ states that Goo “currently represents several large companies in fiercely fought intellectual property, commercial disputes and trade secrets cases between competitors.” As an example, the publication notes “Goo led a team of Crowell attorneys in a commercial and trade secrets litigation matter pending in Los Angeles Superior Court and secured a significant victory on behalf of a leading aeronautics company, obtaining a trio of summary judgment rulings for the company and two co-defendants on all causes of action.”
