Washingtonian has named Ambassador Robert Holleyman and Tyler O’Connor to its annual edition of the 500 Most Influential People Shaping Policy in Washington D.C. The list highlights “smart, innovative Washingtonians who care about issues and spend a lot of time thinking about them.”
The publication noted that Holleyman “boasts a broad portfolio of international economic issues in places as far away as China and India, and deals with global digital-economy issues and cross-border data regulations.”
Holleyman, president and CEO of Crowell & Moring International and a partner in the law firm’s International Trade, and Privacy and Security groups, was singled out in the Business & Labor category.
Holleyman has significant trade, international business, economic policy, and legal experience from serving as Deputy U.S. Trade Representative from 2014-17. He was previously CEO of a highly successful information technology advocacy association and counsel in the U.S. Senate.
Recognized in the Energy category, the publication described O’Connor as “the former energy counsel for House Energy and Commerce chairman Frank Pallone, [who joined Crowell] after working extensively on the energy provisions in the Democrats’ climate and social-spending bill.”
O’Connor is an energy litigator and public policy leader in Crowell’s Energy Group, where he represents clients in the courts, in arbitration forums, and before federal agencies. His recent work includes advising companies on the Inflation Reduction Act and Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, representing clients in rulemakings and on Capitol Hill, and litigating commercial energy disputes.
This is Holleyman’s third consecutive year on the list, having been included each year since the inaugural edition. O’Connor is new to the list, having recently returned to Crowell from the U.S. House of Representatives. To view the full list of Washington D.C.’s 500 Most Influential People of 2023, visit here.
