The Government of Uzbekistan is spearheading a bold renewable energy initiative to meet the nation’s growing electricity needs while prioritising cost-effectiveness and environmental sustainability. The JSC “Uzbekhydroenergo” has commenced the tender process for the new hydropower plants in Uzbekistan, operating under a PPP framework. The Project is divided into four separate tenders and will encompass the cumulative development of 5 new hydropower facilities (approximately 46.6 MW). The submission deadline is noon Tashkent Time on April 1, 2024.
