Last week, Lawyer Nguyen Xuan Thuy gave a presentation on the current status of foreign service providers in retail distribution & franchising activities in Vietnam, organized together by the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), Ministry of Industry and Trade (Vietnam) and International Trade Centre (ITC).
The dialogue brought together representatives from the Association of Vietnam Retailers (AVR), International E-Commerce Innovation Association (VECOM), major corporations like Aeon and Shopee, law firms, and legal experts. The goal is to understand the market better, find solutions, and create policies that support retail and franchising environment in Vietnam.
The Swiss Trade Policy and Export Promotion Programme, also known as the SwissTrade Programme, is a four-year technical assistance initiative in Vietnam. It’s funded by the Swiss government through their State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO). The main goal of SwissTrade is to boost the trade performance and international competitiveness of Vietnamese small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
