2017 Cyber Security Year End Review
Ransomware, smartphone malware and data leaks dominated cyber security threats in 2017.
Instead of focusing on outside threats, 2017 showed that malware creators are much more effective with phishing, malicious emails, social engineering and using human error and negligence to access private data.
The result was large amounts of data lost to attackers in 2017 and experts struggling to defend against the most difficult threat in cyber security – human error.
