Following Chapter 4, which focused on how disruptive innovation is driving change across existing health ecosystems, the final chapter of the HealthTech Report discusses opportunities for accelerating change in healthcare.
This new chapter, the last of the series, highlights the need for Asia Pacific's developing economies to harness innovation. Such innovation would enable their healthcare systems to "leapfrog" through what would ordinarily take years of growth, to achieve a desired end point. Ideally, this end point will be a developed system that is on par with the healthcare systems of mature economies in the region. It also discusses the importance of harmonising the legal framework across the region, so as to take advantage of the disruptive innovation that has started to shape the healthcare industry.
The HealthTech Report has been developed by Baker & McKenzie in partnership with The Propell Group, a boutique venture investor and advisory firm focused on healthtech early-stage companies. The HealthTech Report is available for download on the App Store and Google Play, and as a PDF version here.
