The ALB China Top 15 Female Lawyers list recognizes outstanding female practitioners for their exceptional accomplishments in the legal services industry, based on their years of experience, major achievements, and significant transactions and matters done in the last 12 months.
Bee Chun has over 20 years of experience in M&A transactions and has represented buyers and sellers from various industries — including natural resources, power, aviation and insurance. She has also been actively involved in private equity/venture capital transactions, and is seasoned in fund of funds investments, direct investments and the establishment of funds.
Over the years, Bee Chun has led a number of high-profile deals, including her recent representation of CITIC Metal on its acquisition of an additional 10% stake in Canadian mining company, Ivanhoe Mines.
On receiving this recognition, Bee Chun said: "It is indeed an honor to receive this recognition. It is pleasing to see that women are increasingly being recognized in the legal industry."
"I am very fortunate that I am working at a law firm that is committed to providing a diverse and inclusive workplace, and offers equal opportunities to women, a value we should not take for granted," Bee Chun added. “I like to encourage all our female lawyers to continue doing their best, and at the same time, remember to empower and mentor the younger generation of lawyers."
