10 June 2020
On June 19, 2020, Dr. Attachai Homhuan, manager of Tilleke & Gibbins’ regulatory affairs practice, will speak about the status of Thailand’s cannabis regulatory regime to the Food and Agri-Business Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) in Thailand.
The Thai government has made significant strides since unexpectedly becoming the first country in Asia to legalize medical cannabis in February 2019, but there have also been occasional mixed signals and contradictory measures, leaving entrepreneurs unsure of the path forward.
This video conference will provide operators and others interested in the cannabis industry in Thailand with insight into how the industry can be expected to develop from here. Dr. Atthachai’s presentation will follow the chronology of the announcements, corrections, and regulatory turns, thereby laying out what’s been done, what’s left to do, and a projected timeline for when this might take place.
The video conference will be held from 2:00–3:00 p.m. ICT on Friday, June 19. For more details and to register, please visit the AMCHAM website.
