Female lawyers from leading global law firm Baker McKenzie are featured prominently throughout the sixth edition of International Tax Review’s Women in Tax Leaders guide. The leading international publication that lists the world’s top female tax advisors, has recognised 46 of the Firm's female tax practitioners as leaders in their respective markets, more than any other law firm by quite a margin.
In a field traditionally dominated by male practitioners, the guide seeks to highlight those who have thrived and stand out as leading names in their jurisdictions. These individuals are the most experienced, skilled and knowledgeable female tax advisers. All the names included in the guide not only have a proven track record of success in advising clients, but they are recognised by other leaders in their field for those achievements.
Legal Media Group (LMG), who conduct the research, asked more than 10,000 leading tax professionals from around the globe to provide their feedback about their markets and the individuals that stand out in them. The Women in Tax Leaders guide now includes the names of almost 900 experts from jurisdictions in every corner of the world. The latest research cycle has been the most comprehensive to date by reaching out to more individuals than ever before.
Commenting on this achievement, Baker McKenzie's Global Chair of the Tax Practice, Antonio Russo has said: “I would like to congratulate all the practitioners that have been recognised in the Women in Tax Leaders Guide 2021. These awards are an acknowledgement of their exceptional talent and dedication to our clients. They certainly make our tax practice shine."
Baker McKenzie's Global Chair of Diversity & Inclusion, Constanze Ulmer-Eilfort, also added: “I am very proud of the work our firm does to champion women and these awards echo our continued commitment to advancing gender equality at Baker McKenzie and in the legal profession. Last year, we became the first global law firm to announce global aspirational targets set at 40:40:20 per cent gender diversity, so it is wonderful to be recognized in this way. Congratulations to all the women awarded who have been credited as a top female tax advisor. "
As trusted tax counsel to leading multinational companies for more than five decades, Baker McKenzie's Global Tax Practice is one of the most highly regarded in the world. Ranked Band 1 by Chambers Global for its work across Africa, the Americas, Asia and Europe, clients and industry peers recognize the high quality of the tax advice provided in transactions, as well as in global tax policy, transfer pricing, indirect tax, dispute resolution and wealth management matters, worldwide.
