Global law firm Clyde & Co is pleased to announce the appointment of Joyce Chan as a new partner based in Hong Kong.
Joyce advises financial services institutions and intermediaries on a broad range of regulatory and corporate matters.
In addition, Joyce has significant experience in advising multinational insurance and reinsurance companies on a broad range of corporate and compliance matters such as mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic alliances, reorganisation, asset purchase, authorisation of products and establishment of compliance programs such as anti-money laundering, prevention of bribery, data protection and market conduct programs.
She has also developed a financial regulatory practice for non-banking Fintech service providers, in particular in relation to e-payment services. The work mainly relates to market entries, licencing regulations, product approvals from regulators, e-commerce and cross-border distribution of products.
Prior to joining Clyde & Co Joyce spent nearly two decades in insurance practice, both in private practice and as an in-house counsel. She has also led the legal teams at two multinational insurers in Hong Kong. She joins from DLA Piper where she was also a partner.
