At DWF, she will work with regional clients to deliver their global corporate needs across multiple jurisdictions. Her expertise in the Indian and Japan territories, providing advice to regional businesses on their regional and global activities, will help further DWF's Asian offering and strengthen the business's practice in these countries.
Oommen Mathew, Managing Partner of DWF Singapore, said: "Babita will be an excellent addition to the team and will help to strengthen services for clients, particularly our work in South Asia and Japan, as we continue to enhance our practice in Singapore."
Babita Ambekar added: "DWF has a large number of clients operating in Asia Pacific. In a region with some of the fastest growing economies in the world, clients with the need for international expertise will be able to benefit from the competitive edge that DWF can bring."
DWF Singapore launched in 2017 with a four lawyer team from Eversheds Sutherland and was the second office to open in Asia Pacific following the business's launch in Sydney earlier that year. Babita is the latest addition to the team following the recent appointment of Jonathan Goacher who launched the business's corporate insurance practice in Singapore.
