Eversheds Sutherland has been named "Visionary Firm of the Year” at the Asia MENA Counsel, In-House Community “Counsels of the Year” ceremony.
This is a highly significant award that recognises the most innovative firm operating in Asia and the Middle East. The selection criteria were:
•Client driven technological solutions
•Budget-orientated project management
•Clear-headed advice regarding increasing client productivity and efficiency
•Long-term trusted advisor status.
First class advice legal advice is a given. Progressive organisations now expect far more from their lawyers. The Eversheds Sutherland ‘difference’, and one which highlights the firm’s culture, is a focus on changing the business of law.
The Eversheds Sutherland brand is synonymous with innovation. The firm has pioneered new approaches to project management, client relationships and product development. Many of these changes have shifted the entire legal market. For example, much has been written about Eversheds Sutherland’s sole legal adviser arrangement with Tyco. This model, which delivers global legal services for fixed fees, was revolutionary. This sophisticated, performance-based approach has now been further developed and adopted by other multinational Eversheds clients including Avis Budget, International Air Transport Association, LyondellBassell, Eaton Industries and Doosan.
One of the key innovations is meeting client needs through new service offerings. Eversheds Sutherland has changed the face of the global legal market by introducing:
· ‘Eversheds Sutherland Agile’ anticipated the personnel sourcing revolution that faces many of our clients. Agile provides high quality interim lawyers of any seniority who have the benefit of being part of an international law firm with access to market leading knowhow and expertise.
· ‘Eversheds Sutherland Consulting’ is the only management consultancy working within an international law firm. Eversheds Sutherland Consulting advises general counsel and in-house legal departments on legal and business issues ranging from global risk and compliance to the development of business plans and strategy. Specialist consultants develop legal policy, procedures and protocols, methods of business engagement and policy and process guidelines. The Eversheds Sutherland Consulting team works with some of the largest global organisations across various sectors including financial services, industrials, transport and travel.
· ‘Eversheds Sutherland Connect’ provides the infrastructure and expertise to manage large, multi-jurisdictional matters, accounts and projects through one Eversheds contact.
Connect simplifies the challenges of working across multiple jurisdictions by combining a project management team with specialist online reporting and management tools that provide access to data, reporting and information. This allows clients to:
o control individual matters with tracking and reporting, conflict searches and engagement documentation
o complete administrative transaction tasks
o monitor the billing process and manage their portfolios
