The 2018 HKIAC Administered Arbitration Rules have been selected for the 26th Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot (“Vis Moot”) to be held in 2019. The Vis Moot is a competition for law students from all over the world designed to foster the study of international commercial law and arbitration through the application of a concrete problem.
In 2018, the Vis Moot attracted to Vienna a record 357 teams from 80 countries, 925 team coaches and 1,436 arbitrators. 126 teams from 32 countries and 280 arbitrators participated in the Vis Moot East in Hong Kong.
The 2018 HKIAC Rules will come into force on 1 November 2018 following approval by HKIAC’s Council in October. A copy of the text is available here.
