Baker McKenzie is pleased to announce that leading tax adviser Michael Olesnicky has rejoined the Firm's Tax Practice in Hong Kong as a Senior Consultant, bringing to the Firm a wealth of knowledge and experience in corporate tax, wealth management, trust planning and estate succession matters.
Based in Hong Kong, Michael will work closely with lawyers across the Firm's Global and Asia Pacific Tax Practice, counselling the Firm's clients on a wide range of domestic and international tax projects, as well as supporting the Firm in further enhancing its tax capabilities across the region through seminars and workshop trainings.

During the 26 years Michael previously worked at Baker McKenzie, Michael had served as the Asia Pacific Chair of the Firm's Tax Practice from 2000 to 2014, and was a member of the Firm’s global tax steering committee. Michael has long served as the Chairman of the Joint Liaison Committee on Taxation, which is a quasi-governmental committee that interfaces between tax practitioners and the Inland Revenue Department. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Hong Kong branch of IFA, and is also an honorary lecturer at the Department of Professional Legal Education in the Law Faculty of Hong Kong University. Michael is also the Branch Chair of STEP Hong Kong.
