The 5th edition of the ICC Asia Conference on International Arbitration will take place from 25-26 June 2019 in Singapore. The annual event, which alternates between Hong Kong and Singapore, is expected to attract more than 200 lawyers, corporate counsel, dispute resolution professionals and academics.
On the eve of the Conference, the ICC Institute of World Business Law will hold a training on the assessment of damages by arbitrators. Run by six international experts, the advanced-level course will provide the more than 60 professionals attending actionable insights and practical tips that can be directly applied into daily operations.
The regional Conference is set to take place on Wednesday, 26 June at the Sofitel Singapore City Centre. More than 200 international participants are expected to join the event, including lawyers, corporate counsel, arbitrators, mediators, as well as other professionals and academics coming from or doing business in Asia.
The full-day agenda will cover a range of hot-button topics from regional arbitration developments and the geopolitics of law to demystifying the workings of the tribunal and State Courts and data protection. Discussions will be hosted by a roster of international experts, including K Shanmugam SC, the Minister for Home Affairs and Minister for Law in Singapore.
