The Ministry of Labour and Employment has notified the Employees’ State Insurance (Central) Amendment Rules, 2023 vide notification dated July 25, 2023 to further amend the Employees’ State Insurance (Central) Rules, 1950, deemed to be effective from January 1, 2021 and shall remain in force till June 30, 2021. The notification pertains to claiming of sickness benefit and maternity benefits.
