The Asian Legal Business (ALB) has recognized Tokyo partner Chie Yakura in its inaugural Asia’s Top 15 Litigators series. The award recognizes lawyers from the entire Asian region and is based on several factors, including profiles of cases handled and client recommendations. Chie is the sole practitioner from Japan to be listed.
Chie represents both non-Japanese and Japanese corporations in a wide range of complex litigation matters with an emphasis on intellectual property, technology transactions and trade secrets, and antitrust/competition law, as well as cross-border contractual and commercial disputes and product liability matters. She also focuses on anti-corruption and compliance matters and conducts internal investigations. She has handled cases in a variety of industries, including software, hardware, consumer electronics, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, transportation, real estate, and manufacturing. Chie was also awarded Dispute Resolution Lawyer of the Year by ALB’s 2020 Japan Law Awards.
