Skadden advised Greenhill & Co. as financial advisor to Arcland Sakamoto Co. Ltd., a Niigata-based operator of home centers, in its acquisition of a 53.22% stake in Lixil Viva Corp. from LIXIL Group, for a value of US$ 480 million (JPY 51.885 billion).
The acquisition comes via a recommended tender offer and a series of other transactions, and represents LIXIL Group's entire holding in Lixil Viva Corp. Arcland Sakamoto, LIXIL Group and Lixil Viva Corp. have signed a memorandum and an agreement regarding a series of transactions upon the completion of which LIXIL Viva will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Arcland Sakamoto.
