LAW Partnership launched its Interim Legal Resourcingv(ILR) service this morning in a virtual launch event which also comprised a presentation on interim legal resourcing as the future of work, by the newly appointed Head of Interim Resourcing, Claudine Au. Claudine, who spearheads this service, is a lawyer by qualification with nearly 15 years of experience as a practitioner and in-house counsel.
LAW Partnership has established a reputation for itself as the ‘new’ law firm in the Malaysian legal market. As it continues to maintain its focus on constantly innovating and adopting legal technologies, venturing into interim legal resourcing is the firm’s ‘new’ way of meeting our clients’ needs and demands in the current economic market.
On launching this service at the firm, Brian said: “The onset of the pandemic in Malaysia may have set out a gloomy outlook at first; however, as the ‘new’ law firm, we not only persisted in our daily legal work, but also recognised the needs of many corporate entities for short-term, ad-hoc legally qualified personnel who can help them achieve certain objectives without committing to employing them permanently.”
“These are strange times with the workforce as well as employers looking at non-conventional working arrangements, and interim resourcing provides the versatility and flexibility to cater to such needs.”
The launch concluded following a panel discussion between Joan Oh, Head of Konexo, Asia, who offer interim resourcing services in Asia; Nurul Hidayah Abdull Rahim, Legal Manager, Tune Protect Group Berhad as a client of LAW Partnership for whom the firm had provided a legal professional;
and Fadzleena Mohamad Fadzil, the Interim Legal Professional, moderated by LAW Partnership Head of Corporate, M&A and Commercial Raphael Tay. Amongst others, the market outlook for interim resourcing, especially in the professional services and legal industry, were discussed from the points of view of the service provider, client, and the legal professional itself – making for a remarkably well-balance ecosystem.
Gaining popularity in recent times, interim resourcing has been the go-to solution for many businesses and corporate legal departments, especially those who are affected by cost pressures and headcount freezes. These departments now seek alternative solutions to meet demands in resources.
In this fast-paced business climate, they must be able to immediately respond to resource demands. Most interim resources are immediately available thus providing a faster and more streamlined on-boarding process, and that is LAW Partnership comes in to service the legal market in Malaysia.
