30 April 2020
Introdution
On 11 March 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the coronavirus COVID-19 a global pandemic. Unbeknownst to us at the beginning of the year, the pandemic has undoubtedly affected our professional and personal lives. As an active effort in containing the pandemic, work-from-home, movement restriction and lockdown orders were imposed in many countries.
In an attempt to conduct work and life as normally as possible, we got creative with the help of technology. Nonetheless, with the ease and reach of technology came troubles. The gripping fears of having our personal data compromised in ways we may not even be aware of, have heightened the sense of urgency, forcing us to tread carefully.
In this webinar, we address various topics from the perspective of Malaysia, Singapore, and Hong Kong law, including:
-
Cybersecurity threats to information of customers or organisations and personal data arising from new norms during the pandemic;
-
Data protection and confidentiality issues you should be concerned about when your employees use third-party platforms; and
-
The keys to best practice business continuity and technology management with your third-party service providers whilst managing these threats and breaches.
