Clyde & Co have announced that Andrew Gray will be joining as a partner in the global Marine team in early 2016. Andrew has extensive experience as a shipping lawyer in Asia, with specialist expertise in marine insurance and wet matters.
His practice covers all aspects of Admiralty work, including marine and offshore casualty response and investigation, collision, grounding, general average, oil pollution, salvage, fire, piracy, cargo loss, unseaworthiness, unsafe port claims and general marine insurance claims. Andrew's clients include Shipowners, Charterers, P&I Clubs, Hull and Machinery Underwriters and Salvors.
Andrew served in the Royal Navy for 11 years as a deck officer before returning ashore and qualifying as an English solicitor in London with another international law firm. He has more than 11 years of experience as a shipping lawyer in the Asia Pacific region, based in Hong Kong and Singapore, while providing casualty response across the entire region and beyond. Andrew is a member of the Nautical Institute and is also a regular speaker at maritime conferences in Singapore and other jurisdictions.
