Baker & McKenzie.Wong & Leow and Baker & McKenzie (Gaikokuho Joint Enterprise), the member firms of Baker & McKenzie in Singapore and Japan respectively, are advising Nitto Kogyo Corporation (Nitto), a company listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, on Nitto’s acquisition of Gathergates Group Pte. Ltd. (Gathergates) from Natural Cool Holdings Limited, a company listed on the Mainboard of the Singapore Exchange. Nitto is a Japanese maker and supplier of switchboard-related products and Gathergates is in the business of switchgear design and manufacturing. The deal is scheduled to complete in the fourth quarter of 2015. The Baker & McKenzie team is led by Principal Lean Min-tze in Singapore and Counsel Tetsuo Kurita in Tokyo.
