In light of the declaration by the World Health Organisation that Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a pandemic, the President Office announced the establishment of a Central Committee to Prevent, Control and Treat the 2019 Novel Coronavirus to enable prompt responses from the ministers and the establishment of a new government body, Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Containment and Emergency Responsive Committee, tasked with a wide range of functions including the investigation, detection and handling of persons infected with COVID-19, and coordination of various governmental and non-governmental organisations to respond to COVID-19.
This article summarises the various announcements and notifications relating to COVID-19 and provides updates on the different sectors.
