LexTalk World organized their maiden Global Hybrid Conference for the International Legal Industry on the 7th and the 8th of April 2021 at the Crowne Plaza, Dubai – Deira, UAE.
LexTalk World is a complete 360 degrees media solutions initiative from ClickAway Creators for the Global Legal Industry bringing together several innovative platforms for Legal Professionals to Connect, Learn & Grow.
The media ensemble is formatted on knowledge sharing and business networking platforms through international conferences in the physical and virtual formats; it has a dedicated online magazine on the international legal industry with vlogs, blogs, and interviews of key legal industry professionals, individual practitioners of law and law firm partners from across the world.
The organization is cofounded and set up by the 3 most spirited individuals with decade-long experience in the field of organizing international events and media marketing – Abhishek Gaurav, Pardeep Tyagi, and Vinay Attri. They have offices in Canada, Germany, and India.
While LexTalk World focuses on the International Legal Industry and Biztalk.World is another similar format from the house of ClickAway Creators for global start-up entrepreneurs. The objective of both these platforms is for knowledge sharing, gathering, and networking, using a confluence of 360 degrees media initiatives through physical events and intelligent use of the digital space.
The 2-day conference opened formally with 3 keynote speakers Dr. G. V. RAO, a Senior Advocate, of the Supreme Court of India with 34 years of practice, sharing his thought process on the topic of ‘Taking Risk, Security, and Compliance to the Next Level in This New Age of Uncertainty’. The opening keynote session was also presided over by Hassan Bouadar, VP Legal, FedEx Express MEISA, UAE, and Wayne Barnet, Lead Senior Legal Counsel, SAP, UAE.
Day 1 saw a highly engaging spate of discussions and knowledge sharing by some of the most illustrious professionals from the field of global legal industry like Alizeh Iqbal Haider, Divyam Agrawal, Iram Majid, Khan Khalid Adnan, Bhavin Mehta, Mumtaz Bhalla, Ahmede Kandil, Nadim El-Haj, Faisal Sherwani and Chanchal Choudhary. The audience was all enthralled with anecdotes, precedents, critical observations, and express speeches by Ashish Goel, Sanchita
Ain, and Saifullah Khan and a glitterati of stars of the industry. The type of discussions held was like, ‘Expanding your legal practice across jurisdictions’, ‘Antidumping Measures to Judicial crisis and India’s constitutional democracy’, a case study from Tushar Agrawal on ‘Bail Jurisprudence’, to name a few.
Day 2 covered topics from – Cybersecurity, Criminal Law, and Miscarriage of Justice, to how to facilitate the growth of women in the legal fraternity from the corporate angle. The speakers were Shalinee Fernandez, Meenakshi Acharya, Dr. Sheetal Babar, Yogesh V Nayyar, Karim El Helaly, Tarek Nakkach, Somesh Tiwari, Abhijeet Chaturvedi, Desislava Stankova, Raghvendra Verma, Beatriz Ruiz-Beato, and Wolora Afrin Rasna. It was spectacular to get a slice of the mind space and hard-earned experience from these experts, which normally is unavailable in the rule books of Law.
The Dubai conference was a hybrid one, where a large proportion of the attending delegates, sponsors, and speakers were present in the event physically and also a sizable audience as well as speakers were also present and attending the event from the virtual space from a remote location. Each one of the topics of discussion was equally engrossing and enriching for all.
The hot topics of the 2-day conference were COVID-19, Force Majeure, and Contract Issues with the infusion of AI. These trending topics were covered by Hisham Owies, Dr. Florian Koemm, and El Sayed Abdalla.
Discussions on Arbitration caught the fancy of experts from the MEA region, as UAE is fast emerging as the Arbitration capital of the world.
IP-related issues were discussed by eminent professionals and practitioners like Zafar Khurshid, Prachi Agrawal, and Balkrishnan Gopalkrishnan.
The other most significant part of the 2-day conference was conferring of Lex Falcon Awards to the most outstanding and deserving industry professionals whose contributions to the industry in terms of dissemination of legal jurisprudence in the global industry. The concluding part of both days as well as the tea and lunch sessions saw peer to peer networking at its best amidst an easy confluence of these global experts under one roof and platform.
The maiden edition of the LexTalk Conference was a huge success where speakers, Awardees, and Delegates got a great platform to share their expertise and build contacts amid a world impaired by a global pandemic which restricted the free flow of information and exchanging of ideas due to travel embargoes.
LexTalk World's second hybrid edition will be organized in San Francisco, USA on 26-27th October 2021, which is expected to be compounded more successfully than the maiden one.
