Eduardo Ramos-Gómez has practiced international and corporate law for more than 30 years, advising multinational and foreign companies in Asia, North America, Europe and Latin America on cross-border direct foreign investment, project development and project finance. Ramos-Gómez formerly served as Mexico's ambassador to Singapore, Negara Brunei Darussalam and the Union of Myanmar.

H.E. Mário Miranda Duarte, Ambassador of Portugal to Singapore
 

Ambassador Mário Miranda Duarte began his Portuguese diplomatic career in 1990 and since then has been posted to the United States, where he served as consul in Providence, Rhode Island, and in the Mission of Portugal to the United Nations in New York City. In Belgium, he served in the Mission of Portugal to NATO. In Switzerland, he served as Deputy Permanent Representative of Portugal to the United Nations in Geneva. He was appointed Ambassador of Portugal to Singapore in May 2020.
 

While serving in the MFA in Lisbon, Ambassador Duarte was Director of the Department for Multilateral Affairs, Director of the Department for Institutional Relations with the European Union, Director of the Office of the Investor of the Portuguese Diaspora, Deputy Diplomatic Adviser of Prime Minister José Manuel Barroso, and later on Deputy Diplomatic Adviser of Prime Minister Pedro Santana Lopes and member of the National Election Commission of Portugal.
 

William Smithson, Partner, SRS Advogados
 

Partner and co-head of the Corporate Finance Department at SRS Advogados, William Smithson is highly regarded within the corporate finance, banking, capital markets and real estate sectors. He advises investment banks and companies on a wide variety of finance matters, as well as public and private mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and other related work. With more than 25 years of experience, Smithson has extensive knowledge of the Asian market from his experience of working in Hong Kong, the People’s Republic of China and Singapore. Mafalda Alves, Partner, SRS Advogados
 

Partner and head of the Tax Department at SRS Advogados since 2019, Mafalda Alves has vast experience in advising on domestic and international transactions, with a focus on tax litigation and in advising on corporate restructurings and individual asset transactions, real estate transactions and international tax law. She was Deputy Secretary of Portuguese State for Tax Affairs between 2013 and 2015. She has a postgraduate degree in taxation from the Lisbon Institute of Management and has also completed an executive program in International Tax Law at Leiden University – International Tax Centre.
 

Arv Sreedhar, Managing Director – Corporate Finance, Atlantic Partners Asia
 

Arv Sreedhar’s experience encompasses a number of years across capital markets, project finance, energy and natural resources, strategic advisory and private equity, working with a range of multinational corporates, governments and financial institutions in Asia, Australia and Europe. He has previously worked in investment banking and as a lawyer at top tier firms. Sreedhar currently serves on the board of numerous companies and is a consultant and regional representative for SRS Advogados, the premier law firm of Portugal. Sreedhar is also affiliated with several chambers of commerce, trade commissions and embassies. At APA, Sreedhar heads the corporate finance team, overseeing DCM, ECM, private equity, advisory and project finance transactions.
 

Clarence Hoe, Group Director for Americas and Western Europe, ESG
 

Clarence Hoe is the Global Market Director of Americas and Western Europe Division at Enterprise Singapore. His focus is in promoting trade, investment and enterprise innovation between Singapore and the regions of North America, Latin America and Western Europe. Since 2005, Hoe has led initiatives to help companies innovate and internationalise. As centre director based in Sao Paulo, he facilitated the market entry of companies in oil and gas, real estate, utilities, airport management, retail and food distribution to regions like Brazil, Argentina, Peru and Chile.
