Skadden advised GSX Techedu Inc., one of china's leading online education companies, on its US$208 million initial public offering of American Depositary Shares on the New York Stock Exchange. GSX Techedu intends to use the net proceeds from the offering to recruit teaching staff, bolster its technology infrastructure, develop its educational content, and for working capital and general corporate purposes. Trading began on 6 June 2019 under the symbol GSX.
The Skadden team was led by partner Julie Gao (Hong Kong), with associates Yilin Xu, Karen Song, Sophie Zhao (all Hong Kong) and Wei Zhong (Beijing); legal specialist Zhihong Yao (Beijing); and international legal project manager Haoran Luan (Beijing).
