SSEK partner Stephen Igor Warokka has been appointed to head the International Relations Division of the Indonesia Labor Law Consultants Association (HKHKI).
HKHKI is an independent organization that is active in working with both government and private organizations, and holding seminars, webinars and other events on Indonesian employment law.
HKHKI takes an active role in providing input on employment-related laws and regulations, such as Government Regulation No. 34 regarding the Use of Foreign Workers, Government Regulation No. 35 regarding Fixed-Term Work Agreements, Outsourcing, Working Hours and Rest Time, and Termination of Employment, and the other implementing regulations for the employment cluster of the Job Creation Law.
Stephen is a partner in SSEK’s employment law and immigration practices. In 2019, Stephen was heavily involved in the process of helping to shape the contents of an Indonesian Minister of Manpower decree on positions that can be held by expatriate employees in various business sectors. He earned his Master of Laws from the University of California, Berkeley (Boalt Hall) School of Law in 2011.
