Law firm Stephenson Harwood (Singapore) Alliance has advised Duff & Phelps, a global valuation and corporate finance adviser, on its acquisition of Borrelli Walsh, a leading specialist restructuring, corporate recovery, insolvency and forensic accounting firm.
Founded in 2006, Borrelli Walsh – which has offices in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, India, the United Kingdom, British Virgin Islands and Cayman Islands – has been involved in some of the largest restructurings, corporate collapses and investigations. This transaction will strengthen Duff & Phelps’ restructuring capabilities in Asia and the Caribbean, and further supports its overall growth strategy in the region.
The Stephenson Harwood team was led by Singapore-based partner Tom Platts, who was supported by senior associate Philippa English, associate Laura Baker and trainee Emily Lau.
