Stephenson Harwood is celebrating its twentieth anniversary in Singapore.
"It's an exciting time for Singapore," said Martin Green, Stephenson Harwood office managing partner in Singapore. "The city-state is increasingly recognised as the trading and services hub for businesses investing and trading into and out of South and Southeast Asia. We recognised this potential twenty years ago and the office has continued to grow to support the increasing demand from our clients here. Today, the calibre and experience of our lawyers in Singapore enables us to deliver local knowledge to clients as well as advise them on their business activities throughout the region."
Green, together with partner Iain Young and office manager Juliana Teow, established the office in 1996 and the trio's leadership reflects the team spirit across the office, which now together with its Alliance partner, has more than 80 people, including 17 partners. Since it launched, the office has expanded its focus from shipping and offshore finance and is now widely recognised as a top-tier advisor for asset finance, shipping, international trade and corporate law.
"To have helped support the growth of the Singapore office has been a privilege," said Juliana Teow, Stephenson Harwood office manager in Singapore. "It's been an exciting journey and I'm proud that we are recognised as a firm that is focused on its commitment to clients as well as our people."
Stephenson Harwood operates in Singapore through Stephenson Harwood (Singapore) Alliance, a formal law alliance licensed in Singapore.
