Semiconductor Components Industries, LLC (“SCI”), a U.S. company, filed a suit against Power Integration Inc. (“PI”) and its affiliated branch company in Taiwan, alleging that PI’s flyback switcher IC products infringed upon SCI’s three Taiwan patents, i.e. Taiwan Patent Nos. I323551, I389435, and I493847.
The IP Court dismissed SCI’s entire suit on April 8, 2019 on the grounds that none of the three patents reads on the asserted products.
