The 28th Annual Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on the Climate Change, also known as COP28, which was held in Dubai (UAE) gathered more than 70,000 visitors under the single cause to negotiate for a just sustainable solution to the threats of the climate change. This year, key debates compromised the destiny of fossil fuels within the UNFCCC system, topics of adaptation targets, biodiversity protection and climate finances, especially for the developing loss and damage reserves. In this review, we provide a legal analysis of the expected outcomes of COP28.
