The Home Office’s Workers and Temporary Workers: guidance for sponsors, which sets out the duties and compliance requirements for immigration sponsors, has been updated. Amongst other changes, the updated guidance introduces new reporting duties for sponsors, meaning that the sponsor must notify UKVI within 10 working days if the sponsored worker is, or will be (other than occasionally):
- Remote / hybrid working: if the worker is either: (a) working remotely from home on a permanent or full-time basis (with little or no requirement to physically attend a workplace); or (b) has moved, or will be moving, to a hybrid working pattern.
- Switching location: if the worker is, or will be, working at a different site, branch or office, or at a different client’s site, not previously declared.
